Celebrating Earth Week 2026 With a Town Wide Vernal Pool Bingo Game!
This spring, we’re inviting the whole community to step into one of nature’s most magical (and often overlooked) worlds… vernal pools.

From April 22–26, join us for Vernal Pool Bingo—a playful, town-wide game inspired by The Noisy Puddle that turns Concord. Massachusetts into a discovery trail of frogs, fairy shrimp, salamanders, and more.
🟩 Wander through town
🟩 Spot vernal pool creatures in shop windows
🟩 Mark your bingo card
🟩 Win prizes—and maybe even fall in love with these “pop-up” ecosystems

💧 A special story time with naturalist Alexi Dart-Padover!

🤝 A big thank you to our partners

This community effort wouldn’t be possible without our incredible partners at OARS and CLCT. Both organizations work every day to protect the rivers and watersheds that sustain this region—supporting clean water, healthy ecosystems, and deeper community connection to place. Their work reminds us that:
You don’t need to be a scientist to care for the natural world. There is wonder, joy and belonging in earth stewardship.
Vernal Pool Bingo is part of a broader celebration of these landscapes—leading into OARS’ Wild & Scenic Film Festival (April 22-26) and Wetlands Walk & Talk, where community members can step directly into these ecosystems and experience them firsthand.
